Voice Chat (Collaborative Streaming)
Overview
LiveLens features a built-in Voice Chat system that allows you to collaborate with other streamers or talk with your friends directly within the app. Unlike standard audio calls, this system is optimized for low latency and high-quality audio injection into your stream mix.
🚪 Joining or Creating a Room
To start a conversation:
- Go to Global Settings → Voice Chat.
- Tap Enter Room.
- Create a Room: Enter a unique Room ID and a password. Your friends can use these same details to join you.
- Join a Room: Enter the Room ID and Password provided by your collaborator.
🔗 Deep Links & Sharing
Collaborating is easy with smart invite links.
- Share Invite: Once you are in a room, tap the Share Room Invite button to send a link to your friends.
- Quick Join: When someone clicks your LiveLens invite link on their phone, the app will automatically open, verify the room, and join the conversation instantly.
🎙️ Stream Integration
The Voice Chat audio is intelligently mixed into your broadcast:
- Mixer Control: In Audio Settings, you can toggle Capture Voice Chat on Stream to choose whether your audience should hear the conversation or if it should be for your ears only.
- Noise Cleanup: Standard microphone filters (Noise Gate, Gain) are applied to your voice before it is sent to the room, ensuring you sound professional.
⚠️ Important Requirements
- Microphone Permission: You must grant Microphone access for Voice Chat to function.
- Background Service: Voice Chat runs as a background service, meaning the call will continue even if you switch apps or lock your phone.
- Internet Stability: A stable Wi-Fi or 5G connection is recommended for the best low-latency experience.
